Author admin acount on January 10, 2010 | Print | Bookmark

Some hosting providers may setup the Webmail service using an unsigned SSL certificate. This improves the security of the system (It's a good thing), but may lead to you receiving a confusing error when trying to use webmail.

Follow the steps below to solve this issue:

  1. Visit your Webmail's page with your browser
  2. On the "This Connection is Untrusted" page, scroll down and click on "In understand the Risks" button
  3. Click on "Add Exception"
  4. A popup will show up. Click on "Confirm Security Exception". NOTE: Be sure to leave the "Permanently store this exception" checked.
  5. Login as usual
If you followed the above steps, you shouldn't see the error page again.
